Classes
We offer classes in many areas to help further your knitting skills.
Beginning knitting classes are held weekly year round on Tuesdays from 1-3 PM or Wednesday evenings from 6-8 PM. This class runs for 5 weeks. Learn the basics of casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, 2 styles of ribbing, increasing, decreasing, binding off. Our first project will be a child's pullover. $60.00 plus materials.
1st Mondays of the Month
On the 1st Monday of each month from 11-1 we knit for the Seaman's Church in New York. All the hats, socks, and vests are donated as Christmas gifts to seamen on the high seas. The church took in 60,000 items last year.
We accept knit donations of 100% wool socks mittens and hats that are given to the New Hampshire Blue Star mothers who forward them to New Hampshire servicemen serving in Afghanistan who give them to needy children there. A very worthy project!
